Matt Judkins writes profound thoughts on ordination at Many Hands Make an Elder. Grace is Gratuitous relates some of deviant monk’s thoughts on the grace of God. I received the following email from a Resurrection attender last month. I have included my response below and some additional thoughts. They have each been edited for anonymity. Email Received: Has Pastor Adam ever broached the subject with the congregation on appropriate attire when attending church? I imagine that this is a rather sticky subject, […]
I always hope to continue learning for my own faith journey, leadership, and to be a part of renewing the mainline church. One of the ways that this can be accomplished is through networking and learning at conferences. I personally recommend and will be presenting at Leadership Institute, but I am also considering the following […]

I had a great trip to California. Dan, Jason and I ended up visiting: Crystal Cathedral – mainly because it was close and we had time. Mariners Church – Just got to see their facilities, but great stuff – technical stage and wonderful outdoor space. Saddleback Church – We checked out one of their venues […]

Resurrection partnered with Grand Avenue Temple United Methodist Church in downtown Kansas City for Easter worship. Very cool stuff going on in this partnership. You can watch coverage from a local news station here. Thanks to Jason Gant for finding the story.
In November of last year, I read this post – Was the early church seeker sensitive? and have been thinking it over in my head ever since. Before you read further – check out the post then come back here to read on. Michael raises an interesting point and one which I have continued to […]
I had a conversation yesterday evening with Ben about different ways of giving an offering invitation as a part of a worship service. I want to think first about what means to give financially to the church. I have ranked these in order of priority / importance. Giving financially to a local community of faith […]
