Not too long ago, I received a series of fascinating words from three fortune cookies. Here is the first one:
Listen to the wisdom of the old.
This is just good wisdom. I learn a great deal in conversation with those that have more experience than myself. In what ways do you find this to be true in your life?

I try to read old books, not just current, trendy stuff. The Bible is great, but so is stuff like the Church Fathers, Augustine, Wesley.
Hmmm… the fortune cookie isn’t very specific. I think it probably intends that you should to listen to the wisdom of old fortune cookies.
