Next week, Justice in the Burbs: Being the Hands of Jesus Wherever You Live by Will and Lisa Samson will be released. As a pastor at a suburban church, I am particularly interested in this topic. I plan to purchase the book when it comes out and hope to review it here in the future. I found a link to this promotional video from the Emergent Village blog at Justice in the Burbs Video.
I agree with one of the key statements in this video – “The story of justice is the story of God.” God’s story is taking place around the world in all times and places. As a Christian, I believe that it is our role to live into God’s story where we are. Questions and actions of justice are important no matter where one lives.
