Speedlinking – June 7, 2007

  1. Tony gives 10 Stupid Technology Mistakes that Churches Make – good stuff.
  2. Dan addresses what are the essentials of the faith in What to use for a metaphor of “core” or “non-core” beliefs. I think that he is on target with this post.
  3. Scott Williams, guest blogger at Swerve, writes about the similarities between leading a prison and being a campus pastor in this post. Interesting!
  4. Seth writes an insightful post about Logos. As one considering being the pastor at a new congregation start and what a name or logo might be, I found this to be a great post.
  5. Kent relates a presentation by Kevin Kelly on the next 1,000 years of Christianity. Looking at the past to look to the future is a good thing, and I found this post to be fascinating.

Sorry I’m not keeping up with your postings as well as I think I should be. Just got back from a week long camp with middle schoolers!

About Dan Kimball’s link: I found it interesting that “covenant of marriage” was there in core beliefs. No matter what theology or politics a person might hold you have to admit that it seems out of place when put alongside heavy-hitters like “resurrection of Christ”
