I have found several online tools that increase my productivity and are quite helpful in my role as pastor. One of them is:
Google Reader
From the Google Reader website:
Keep track of your favorite websites
Stay up to date
Google Reader constantly checks your favorite news sites and blogs for new content. Whether a site updates daily or monthly, you can be sure that you won’t miss a thing.Simplify your reading experience
Google Reader shows you all your favorite sites in one convenient place. It’s like your inbox, for the web.Discover new content
Millions of sites publish feeds with their latest updates, and our built in feed search makes it easy to find new content that interests you.
I use Google Reader to keep track of all the blogs listed in the blogroll to the right and many more. I have found blogs to be a resource for learning and ideas. I am able to hear from others in distant places that are both very similar and very different from me and my current experience.
- What do you think?
- Do you use Google Reader or other Google applications?
- Do you have any tips or tools to share?

I use google reader (at you recommendation – thanks!), and love it. I find that it is the most useful for tracking multiple blogs. Initially I subscribed to one of their automatic subscriptions that was several news services, and I found that to be much more news than I needed or could keep up with. Now that I have a more manageable amount of subscriptions, it is definitely a useful too.
Kevin – Good tip. I find it easy to subscribe to a larger subscription list than is reasonable to keep up with.
