Worship Experience

I have been thinking a good deal about worship recently. This past weekend, I assisted in leading worship for the second week in a row at Resurrection. In February, I wrote about the connection between worship attendance and discipleship and now turn to the experience of worship. Thanks to a post from beauty. (t)ruth. god. for the following video. Brian McLaren is the speaker in the clip.

What do you think about the themes addressed in this clip?

Thanks for sharing this clip Andrew. It really spoke to me – especially the closing visual with Jesus and the American flag on the old school tv.

As a clergy person I often struggle with trying to have worshipful experiences in the midst of the leading/guiding/logistical work of Sunday mornings. I will be intentional this week about connecting with God in some authentic way while “leading” worship.

Jeff – Thanks for your comment. I also, sometimes have difficulty feeling as if I had an opportunity to worship, while facilitating the worship of others. Sometimes, I find that this is able to take place while I am “leading” and sometimes it has to be at a different time of the day or time of the week.
