I had the opportunity to write the prayer guide at Resurrection this week. The prayer for the day is:
O God, you know what it is like to suffer, but now it seems that the suffering of Jesus Christ is overwhelmed by the joy of resurrection. Send your Holy Spirit to comfort and strengthen those who are suffering in this world. Let us know your presence with us in our suffering – whether it be external or internal. Enable us to grow in love for you and love for our neighbor. We pray in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
