The Bench by the Train Station

Three days in Hutchinson, a fair that changes every year, and the part of it that has held steady my whole life.

I was at the Kansas State Fair for most of the weekend. I have been going for most of my life, and I could nearly walk it with my eyes closed.

I have been entering things there a long time too, first in 4-H and later in some of the open class and special categories. My floriculture and fine arts photos went over to Hutchinson a few weeks ago. Sunday was the Kansas Soybean Recipe Contest, which I spent a good part of Saturday night cooking for.
