Small Moves, Real Returns
Matthew 25:17 (CEB) · The Gospel on Stage and Screen
“In the same way, the one who had two valuable coins gained two more.” — Matthew 25:17 (CEB)
Two coins aren’t impressive by any measure. They wouldn’t turn heads or earn headlines. But invested faithfully, they become four.
At harvest time in Kansas, the grain cart moves back and forth across the field, filled and emptied, filled and emptied, never holding on, always releasing what it carries. Its usefulness depends on its willingness to keep moving.
The math of the kingdom runs on percentages, not totals. Two becoming four is the same faithfulness as five becoming ten. God doesn’t weigh the size of the investment. God watches whether you moved at all.
What small investment could you make today, a conversation, a prayer, a meal shared, that trusts God with the return?
Faithful God, we bring our small offerings to you today. Multiply what we give, and teach us that no act of faithfulness, however quiet or unseen, is ever wasted in your hands. Amen.
