Podcasts...
In addition to reading blogs, I listen to several podcasts to learn about ministry and hear from others about what is happening in the life of the church. What is a podcast you might ask - find more information here. Here are some to which I currently subscribe (These links will take you to the iTunes Music Store with the exception of #6 which will take you directly to the gCast site):
Good thoughts on leadership. Generally includes an interview with a leader within the church community and is less than one hour.
This podcast addresses creativity and communication within the context of the church.
Weekly podcast from Emergent Village. Usually less than an hour - includes interviews, listener submissions and others.
5-7 minute podcast of the NPR feature that a monologue about the belief of one individual. More information here.
Daily guided prayer produced by the Jesuit Media Initiatives in the UK. Excellent 10-15 minute time of prayer.
Weekly sermons at Lamont United Methodist Church from my friend, Kevin Watson.
This is pretty self explanatory, and sometimes I do want to hear the sermon from the weekend again.
This is the free version of podcasts available at wiredparish.com. From their website: "connecting the most challenging and profound voices of the church with people who want to make a difference." Usually less than 30 minutes.
