Marriage Retreat

This morning my wife, Nicole and I are driving to Rogers, Arkansas with Dustin and Shelly Petz to attend a marriage retreat hosted by The Soderquist Center. It will be held at Greystone Estate in Rogers, Arkansas. A couple weeks ago, we received a phone call from Bishop Jones' wife Mary Lou Reece asking what we were doing June 18-20 and inviting us to the event. We cleared our calendars pretty quickly, received some preliminary information and completed the pre-event assessments.

The goals of this event, from the website:

• Provide a unique renewal and growth experience for pastors and their spouses grounded in Scripture.

• Provide practical resources and useable skills for strengthening and supporting the marriages and families of church leaders.

• Provide a forum for couples to discuss and more effectively and successfully address the unique challenges often faced in ministry.

• Provide practical resources for leadership in ministry.

This should be a great time :)
