Everything Must Change in Kansas
Last week, I signed up for the Everything Must Change Tour at DeepShift to be held in Kansas City, Kansas in the spring of 2008.

I am particularly interested in this event, because I am passionate about the renewal of mainline Christianity and in particular the United Methodist Church in Kansas. I believe that shifts in thinking and practice have begun to take place and will need to continue to take place in the United Methodist Church to remain faithful to the gospel and relevant to today. One sign of this in Kansas is a commitment by both the Kansas East and Kansas West conferences to continue forward with the next step in a strategic plan for renewal. It is exciting to be a part of God's work at Resurrection, through the United Methodist Church in Kansas and through God's people around the world. From the website for the event:
We are in Deep Shift. A time of transition rethinking re-imagining and re-envisioning A time for asking new questions and seeking answers that are both new and old fresh and seasoned surprising and familiar
What do you think...
Have you seen shifts take place in culture? the church? your life?
What shifts will be necessary to catalyze a renewal in God's church?
