Blessing a Threshold

Someone in our church made a hard move this month, out of a long-time home and into a smaller place. I went not to fix anything, but to bless the space and say that God was already there.

Earlier this month I visited someone in our congregation who had just made a big move, out of a home of many years and into a smaller place with more care close at hand. After a long life in a place of their own, there were new rooms to learn, a new hallway, a different set of neighbors.
