Acts 2:1 · Fresh Start: When Life Takes an Unexpected Turn

Before the wind. Before the fire. Before anyone spoke a word in a language they’d never learned, they were simply together. That’s where the story starts. Not with a miracle but with a room full of people who showed up.

They didn’t know what was coming. They had no agenda, no strategic plan, no timeline from Jesus other than wait. So they gathered. They prayed. They stayed in the room when every instinct said to scatter.

We underestimate the spiritual power of presence. Showing up when you don’t know what comes next. Sitting with people who are just as uncertain as you are. The Spirit doesn’t require us to have answers before it moves. It requires us to be in the room. Together. Willing. That’s the posture that precedes every fresh start, not confidence, but availability.

God of Pentecost, we show up today without knowing what you will do. Gather us in your presence and make us available to your Spirit’s movement. Amen.
